Profile of Dr. Momodou Cham

Dr. Momodou ChamDr. Momodou Cham was one of our first volunteer medical professionals, coming to our assistance when he was a medical student at the University of Ghana (Legon). Born in Banjul in The Gambia, Dou, as he is known to his buddies, has been living in Ghana since 1999 when he arrived to begin his university studies.

This fascinating and talented young man (see a sample of his poetry elsewhere in these pages) says he was drawn to the Project because it was the first organization he had known that was trying to increase longevity for Africans. He has stayed with the Project because it inspires him to keep to a healthier lifestyle, and it has helped him pick up several healthy habits. The Project would like to encourage more young people to show the initiative Momodou and his mates showed by endowing a scholarship fund in their honor at the Medical School at Legon.
